How to get your Volcengine Doubao Speech API key

In Montagist, your Volcengine Doubao Speech key is used for recording the full voice-over (the voice approval step), called from your Mac.

Where to get it

Open the Volcengine Doubao Speech key pageconsole.volcengine.com/speech/new/setting/apikeys?projectName=default

Before you start

  • New users need to register with Volcengine and complete real-name verification.
  • Activate Doubao Speech in the default project with one click; it includes a trial pack, then bills by usage.

Create the key

  1. Open API Key management in the new Doubao Speech console (a default key is created for you).
  2. Use the default key or click Create API Key for a new one.
  3. Copy the key and paste it under Settings › Connections › Voice in Montagist.

Connect it to Montagist

  1. In Montagist, open Settings › Connections › Voice and find the Volcengine Doubao Speech card.
  2. Paste the key.
  3. Click Test connection: voice is tested on your Mac, because what matters is whether this computer can reach the service.

Notes

  • The new console needs only the key — no App ID.
