How to get your OpenAI Speech API key

In Montagist, your OpenAI Speech key is used for recording the full voice-over (the voice approval step), called from your Mac.

Which key to use

  • It's the same OpenAI key used for models — no need to create another one.

If you haven't connected OpenAI yet, start with how to get your OpenAI API key.

Connect it to Montagist

  1. In Montagist, open Settings › Connections › Voice and find the OpenAI Speech card.
  2. Paste the key.
  3. Click Test connection: voice is tested on your Mac, because what matters is whether this computer can reach the service.
